Formerly American Eagle, these guys went independent and have been on a firing spree ever since.
They have teachers on a revolving door until they find the one they want.
They used to have over 12 foreign teachers and reduced that to 2 permanent and 1 part-time foreign teacher.
I was the 13th foreign teacher they have sacked in 2 years! They sacked me 3 months into an 8 month contract which they broke.
They told me they were combining classes and didn't need another foreign teacher, but I found out the former part-time teacher had taken my classes.
6 months later they are hiring again!
The manager claims to be "very honest, unlike other schools' but will say so with a smile that you will soon learn is the cover up of lies.
They refused to give me any severance pay and I had to go to the Labor ministry to twist their arm to pay me.
The thing is that they were only declaring a third of my wage to the tax department. That meant they only had to pay me a third of the severance pay that was legally owed to by Taiwanese labor laws.
Is this a company you want to work for?
There is no job security with this company. They want their profits and firing teachers doesn't require a second thought.
The kids at their school are from affluent families and there are some spoilt classes amongst the decent ones.
You won't get any lesson plan guidance and their textbooks are very bland and unimaginative. You will definitely need to be experienced in teaching Taiwanese students.
